Message from the PTO President |
October 2021 Happy Halloween!
I hope all your vampires and zombies had fun trick or treating with friends and family this weekend! It’s hard to believe that we are quickly approaching Thanksgiving and soon after the winter break. There are many things to be thankful for and some of the most important ones in our children’s lives are their teachers, aides, mentors, tutors, and coaches. October is National Principal Month and our PTO had the chance to say thanks to our awesome leaders at LTMS: Mr. Wolff, Mrs. St.Claire, and Mrs. Rizzoli, during our October General Board meeting last Thursday. GO VOTE!Tuesday, November 2nd VATRE: Tax Ratification “Penny Swap” Proposition. For more information and voting locations, visit Lake Travis District’s website. As we roll into November and towards the Thanksgiving break, please be on the lookout for the opportunity to donate pies for our Pie Market Day, scheduled for Thursday, November 18th. Our PTO facilitates and makes sure each staff person at LTMS receives a pie before the holiday break and it has become a tradition that we all look forward to. Please know that due to COVID and district policy, we ask that you donate only store-bought pies (not homemade), so that we can safely give these desserts to our teachers and staff. If you’d rather us get the pie for you, we will also be taking donations and our awesome SAC team will make sure they are delivered to school. More information is coming soon. Our Spirit Store is taking orders for LTMS Hoodies! The Pre-Order Sale is on now through next Sunday, November 7th, so don’t miss out. Get yours before the holidays. Our fundraising efforts are still going strong and we need your donations! We encourage everyone to join PTO membership for only $15. Our PTO will continue working hard the rest of this year to plan next semester, which will be full of events for our students! We welcome volunteers and anyone interested in joining our board. Please join us at our next scheduled PTO General Board meeting on Thursday, January 27th 2022. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact info@ltmspto.org.

Founded in 2017, the Parenting in a Tech World page has over 148,000 members and focuses on helping parents navigate the tech world with their children's safety in mind. | Treasurer's Snapshot A heartfelt THANK YOU to the families, teachers and staff who have contributed to our No Hassle Fundraiser this year! We are so grateful for your donations and volunteer support. To date, we have raised $5,095.00! Our goal is $15,000, but what we have received will go towards funding staff appreciation events, grade level activities, and school wish list items. It might take us a little longer to get there, but you can still help support us with your tax-deductible donation here or share our fundraiser with family, friends and businesses. |

Fundraising Opportunities Not sure how else to help the LTMS PTO raise funds? Here are just a few more examples of how you can help: Community Partners Do you own a local business and wish to partner with us to impact the programs and activities provided to our students and teachers? Then join our Community Partner Program. As a valued business sponsor you will be recognized through various benefits depending on the sponsorship level you choose. Sponsorships will be active for a period of one school year and may be renewed on an annual basis. Contact us for information on how to become a sponsor today. Double Your Donation Increase the impact of your PTO donation with a matching gift. Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving programs in which the company matches donations made by employees to eligible non-profit organizations like LTMS. A simple and effective way to double a contribution at no additional cost to you. Details here. Volunteer Grants Make a Difference Volunteer grants are corporate giving programs in which companies provide monetary donations to non-profit organizations where employees volunteer regularly. If you volunteer at LTMS, it’s an easy way to provide the school with additional financial support at no cost to you. Details here. Passive Fundraising Earn money for LTMS every time you shop. This is an easy way to earn money for our school while doing something you already do. Please take a moment to sign up for these programs, which donate a percentage of your purchases back to our school or PTO. The more families that participate, the more we earn. Details here. |
| We've Got Spirit, Yes We Do! Our Spirit Store is open and stocked with shirts, stickers, and HOODIES! Our Hoodie Pre-Order is open for a limited time only. We are taking orders right now through Sunday, November 7th, so get your order placed TODAY! The fulfillment time for your hoodie order should be shorter, so watch for your email notification to pick up your hoodies before the holiday break. Orders that were placed at the RoundUp in August have been fulfilled. In our effort to notify families who had an outstanding order, we erroneously sent an email to everyone who had placed an order, even if they did not have spirit gear on their order. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. |
