PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

KNIGHT GAMES

This LTMS school event is for all Incoming 6th graders only. This beginning of year social event allows new 6th grade students to meet and create friends in a fun interactive way.  Students participate in team building activities, games, tour the campus, learn how to open a lock, and more.  PTO supports this event through volunteerism and supplies. This student only event is drop off/ pick up.

ROUND UP

Round Up is an LTMS school event and Opportunity for all students and Families to familiarize themselves with the school, schedules and so much more. Students are asked to bring any bulk school supplies to the school for drop off at their respective grade level collection site. Many representatives are available and PTO representatives are available to answer questions, help with Spirit Wear purchases or Donations.

KNIGHTS IN SERVICE

Knights in Service is a Year long PTO position that assists the administration and NJHS sponsor.  This position assists with the tabulation of hours for volunteers and order awards for the year end ceremonies.

DAY OF SERVICE

Day of Service is a schoolwide program where students head out into the community to serve others. This is a positive experience for our LTMS students to expand their appreciation of helping others and learn invaluable bonding skills. Through PTO  and LTMS donations combined with district and long term planning, students provide invaluable community service opportunities to multiple sites. This is one of the largest coordinated events of the year and volunteerism is the backbone of the event. There are multiple committees under Day of Service.

CAMPUS REQUESTS

Each year we dedicate a large portion of our budget to campus requests. This provides teachers, counselors and staff with funds for necessary items for their classrooms and workrooms. Through the generosity of the PTO we budget a fixed amount annually to help offset costs. 

STAFF APPRECIATION

The PTO devotes a good portion of the budget to supporting our teachers and staff. We provide an annual stipend for instructional learning tools so that less money comes out of teacher pockets and provide monthly staff appreciation meals or treats with the help of donations and sponsorships.

KAZAAM!

Kazaam! is a fun 6th grade dance party. The 6th graders are treated to a DJ, games, and Pizza.  This fun dance party with activities for 6th graders is held directly after school, and is typically scheduled in January.

6TH GRADE OLYMPIC DAY

Olympic Day is a field day where 6th grade students compete one another on teams named after Greek Gods and Goddesses.The event is held outdoors on the LTMS football field at the end of the school year.  Filled with wonderful opportunities for parents to get involved.

7TH GRADE MAY DAY

May Day is a fun filled field day that includes lunch, concessions and snacks. The day begins with games in the LTMS gyms and classrooms, then ends with inflatables and Kona Ice. This is a rewarding day to socialize and bond as an entire class.

8TH GRADE FIELD TRIP

This Field trip is an exciting celebration of the end of middle school with our eighth graders. The Eighth grade class traditionally takes a trip to offsite with Bowling, Mini Golf, Arcade Games and Roller Skating.

8TH GRADE BREAKFAST/CELEBRATION

A special way for LTMS and PTO to Celebrate our end of the year with our 8th grade class. 8th graders are celebrated with Ice cream socials, photo booths and graduation t-shirts. The following morning, they are welcomed with a special breakfast,  ARMOR awards, class slideshow presentations and yearbook signings.
